Molly Sharma, Ph.D.

DIRECTOR OF RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

Dr. Molly Sharma, Ph.D., joined the Nature's Formulae team in September 2010 bringing over 20 years of experience in research and development to the company. With a focus and interest in medicinal plants and their bio-active compounds, Dr. Sharma has extensive experience and skill in the extraction and isolation of natural compounds and the formulation of new products. Dr. Sharma has supervised numerous research projects and teams, published 23 research papers and participated in several science seminars and conferences.

Past research experience has included working with accelerated solvent extractions, micro plate readings for ORAC values of herbal products and electrophoresis for molecular characterization of proteins, TLC and HPLC. Current research interests within Nature’s Formulae focus on the development of new natural health products using innovative processes to incorporate various natural oils, herbs and minerals into herbal health, food, cosmetic and personal care formulations.

As the director of research and development for Natures Formulae, Dr. Molly Sharma oversees and uses her expertise to ensure quality assurance throughout the manufacturing process. Dr Sharma enjoys working with the challenge of developing innovative products, believing that “challenges make life interesting and overcoming them makes life meaningful.”
